We all hear about the power of attraction. We are told what energy and good thought we put out into the universe is what we are to get back. Think positive and you receive positive, all that good stuff.
Well, I am stumped.
I understand the Universe to be composed, on a molecular level, of positives and negatives. When a positive proton is there it will attract a negative electron, thus creating a neutron, thus creating atoms, Thus Creating. We are made up of them, everything is. Think about the old cliche' opposites attract, remember?, and they do, all through our Universe, the Sun, the gravitational pull on the poles of the Earth, and so on. It's all magnetically attracting/repelling awesome power.
So what I'm getting at here, ... I go out into the Universe for instance, and know deep in me I don't like tics. I don't like them burying their parasitic little heads into my skin and drawing out my life force. Don't get me wrong, I respect and honor all creatures in all Kingdoms, I'm just not fond of these particular ones along with a few other's I had rather keep my space from. So I'm thinking positively "no tics, no tics are going to land on me, crawl on me, anywhere, tics are going run when they see me coming!". So, I'm feeling this, and knowing I feel this way I'm putting that energy out into the Universe, right?.
My ponder is this... If the power of the so called Law of Attraction we hear about everyday in the metaphysical communities is correct, I won't be drawing these creatures to me, but repelling, I'm going to attract the abundance of no tics, or tics that don't like me. A positive thought attracts a positive result. BUT, if the actual scientific Universal Law is correct, and I look at it, I'm putting out a positive energy attracting the opposite result,... because Opposites will attract, positive + negative = creation.
Ok, I'm going with the scientific Universal Law on this one folks, I find them on me every time, every where. Just so you know, Positives and Negatives do attract. I'm walking proof, they find Balance on me and I become their happy spot.
....so now, I'm beginning to wonder, if I start thinking this way about everything, love, money, vacations, and so on .. maybe, .... just maybe, I might be on to something here. :).

As I was driving down the road, I realized that I must have been down this same stretch of road at least a thousand times...only this time it looked so different. I started noticing all the colors, the sky was bluer than I could ever remember. I noticed the way the sun light danced on the leaves of the trees and cast it shadows across the green ground. The way the rays of light separated behind the clouds in the sky forming individual sun bursts of lights. The clouds were all colors of brilliant white, deep grays crested with hues of gold, turning into the softest pinks.
The wooded area I was traveling through seemed to come alive as the breeze was making itself known. I slowed down and rolled down my window not wanting to miss a minute of this new landscape I had discovered. My head was hanging out the window like a puppy seeing and smelling the world for the first time. I finally had to pull the truck over, and just stop for a moment to soak it all in...I got out and stood there, away from all the commotion of the world, just stood there, just me and the woods, and the winds...and the sky... here it had to be the most beautiful sounds of love all around me. The trees were moaning, swaying with an occasional pop as the wind moved them...there was a woodpecker off in the distance, adding the beat and rhythm of a drum. The birds were adding their melody in sweet tune. The little creatures of the wood were so busy in this orchestra, singing songs of Love to any one who would stop and care to listen. I did...and for the first time I heard and I saw.
Everything was alive, everything had a color, I could see, I could feel, everything ... Chills were climbing up my neck, it was like I was seeing everything new, in a different light, as if time was standing still. Even the moss on the rocks that I had begun to climb was coming to life, it was glowing with Light. I had to ask myself, Had it always been like this? I had been for walks in the woods before, but this was different. It was like I had entered into a time warp. A place that had been placed there just for me...What was this teaching me?, I wondered. I felt these woods were filled with Spirit. This was a magical discovery I thought, then I realized...I didn't have to look for new things...I just had to see what was already there with new eyes. It was Beautiful. ~Tina~
