Nature's Alchemy

The following is a compilation of my thoughts, the way I see the nature of our self, physical, emotional and spiritual self, and how it is connected to Nature herself, our Creator, and every Circle of Life created.  To me, The Nature Kingdoms are a looking glass into our soul.  It is reflective of our internal self, and our external self.  I look to the Woods, to the Creatures, to the Waters, and discover they are Rooted deep within us all.  We travel through the valleys, cross the lowlands, climb the mountains, we fly, we walk, we crawl,  through it all, everyday of living our life.

I believe...
Every living thing has a song...
each Tree, each Rock, every drop of Water, every Plant, every Insect, all Kingdoms including us,  has a vibration.  If we are still we can hear it,  if we feel, it can be felt.  Life sings this Song endlessly ..a unique composition  of the most beautiful music rising up to the Heavens.  Listen as you Walk today in gratitude for each Song.  -redskyhawk

Luna

On the night of this Full Moon I received a visitor bringing me a special gift and a tremendous journey through this Moon cycle, and through myself.  The first day of the Moon I walked outside and discovered a small secondary wing from the Luna Moth.  On the next night she had found her way onto my back porch. Her wings all tattered and torn look as if she has been on the journey of a lifetime.  As I examined her I suddenly noticed the lower wings, and suddenly the head of Ganesh appeared and was staring at me in the face, eye to eye.  I stepped back and took a breath, then looked to see if it was still there.

The head of Ganesh represents the Atman, the soul or ultimate reality, while his body signifies the world and earthly realm of human beings.  The elephant trunk had the symbol of OM on it, which is the primal sound and symbol of the Universal reality.  I am amazed in this, really I am, I have been so preoccupied with the natural balance of light and dark forces, the pull of our positive and negative forces, dimensions of time, worldly realities, illusions, and dimensional realities, just thinking too much.  I am struck at how this one little moth came, showed up, and showed out for me.  Making me see things from a heart perspective instead of the mind perspective.  I can't understand things when I am using my head, my brain and reasoning get in the way.  When I allow myself to feel things just in the moment, without thinking, or trying to reason and justify, I feel them only with my heart, that is when the Magic happens.

Ganesha has only one tusk; the other is shown broken. There is an interesting story as to how Ganesh happened to get an elephant's head and how one tusk got broken. The symbolism of the broken tusk is that the wise person is beyond duality.

We tend to think that we end when our bodies end in the material world. We are the first person. All else is different. This duality is created by the mind which creates the ego to help us survive in this world. This 'me-other' duality is the screen keeping us from realising our real Self, which is beyond body and mind. Once we transcend this duality, we see the entire Universe as a single whole and we become aware of our true Selves. The single tusk of Ganesha symbolises this non-duality. Wisdom allows us to see all as one and ourselves an integral part of the whole.
anesha, in fact, is the symbol of he who has discovered the Divinity within himself.Ganesha is the first sound, OM, in which all hymns were born. When Shakti (Energy) and Shiva (Matter) meet, both Sound (Ganesha) and Light (Skanda) were born.
He represents the perfect equilibrium between force and kindness and between power and beauty. He also symbolizes the discriminative capacities which provide the ability to perceive distinctions between truth and illusion, the real and the unreal.

Luna Moth - The Gift and Symbolism

The Luna Moth is most often seen in the evenings, attracted to the Moon and Light.  Luna speaks of our connection to the Feminine, our inner spirit, and our trust in ourselves. We learn of the importance to find the balance between light and dark, the seen and the unseen.   Luna is one of the most mystical and spiritual of animal totems. To meet one is a special gift, for when she is in her adult moth stage she only lives for one week. While living through their adult life they do not eat, for they have no mouth. One might say that their purpose is to reproduce, but I say it is to Love. They are born, they transform, they love, they die, and then are again reborn. Their cycles are short, as are our years while we are here. We are reminded to make the most of our moments and to live and love to the fullest. The healing she brings teaches us to trust again.
She is a fleeting reminder to love, to give love, to allow yourself to be loved, this is the ultimate journey.

Peace & Blessings Luna
